The youth have been warned against using social media to get jobs abroad.

According to police, unscrupulous people are now disguising their recruitment methods by using social media especially face book and WhatsApp to connect with their unsuspecting victims.

According to the deputy chairman Anti Human trafficking task force Agnes Igoye, illegal recruiters use face book to entice jobless Ugandans with pictures of successful Ugandans abroad, thus forcing them to use illegal channels to flee the country to connect with them.

She adds that there is urgent needfor the Uganda Communications Commission to investigate fake websites and social media pages created to con Ugandans
