The chairpersons of all the public Universities councils are slated to meet the striking lectures to forge a way forward.
According to the 20th March letter, leadership of the striking staff have agreed to meet the council chairperson next week on 29th March .
The letter signed by chairpersons of all the public Universities associations, Kyambogo University council has also asked staff to resume work to allow the commencement of examinations today.
The staff leadership now says that whereas they have agreed to meet the council chairs, they are not going to resume work for the sake of conducting exams until their demands are responded to.
Vice Chancellors of public Universities earlier this month met the striking staff but failed to convince them to abandon their strike that kicked off on 6thFebruary.
