The Uganda Wildlife Authority Executive Director has scoffed at reports of his suspension.
Sections of the media yesterday said Dr. Andrew Seguya had been asked to step aside by the Authority’s board of trustees to pave way for investigations into the theft of over 1,300kgs of ivory from UWA’s strong room.
Speaking to Kfm from the Authority’s headquarters in Kamwokya, Dr Andrew Seguya wondered where such information was coming from.
He also down played calls by Members of Parliament for him to step aside arguing that he caused the audit of the ivory stocks.
Five officers were recently suspended.
