UWA blames crocodile attacks on residents

Reporter | May 13, 2014

The Uganda Wild Life Authority has urged caution by those living near water catchment areas.

The Authority Executive Director Andrew Seguya says leaders near such areas should provide community tanks to reduce attacks by crocodiles.

In the last two weeks, two people have been attacked by crocodiles with the latest victim being a 13-year-old girl who was attacked over the weekend.

Seguya says residents should also notify the authority if they suspect that such animals are within their area.
