The US government insists that Uganda should pull out its forces from South Sudan.
The latest call has been made by the Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of African Affairs Linda Thomas Greenfield while speaking during a media teleconference from Washington this evening.
She said that though they laud the UPDF’s efforts to secure parts of South Sudan, signing of a secession of hostilities agreement should now prompt them out since there is no more violence.
Greenfield adds that the deal was to provide security for key infrastructure like the airport and way through for refugees and foreign citizens.
