The crisis in South Sudan continues to affect many of Uganda’s sectors and the exports are no exception.
The 800 million dollar projection in cash flows from exports to South Sudan cannot be realized with the such fighting going on.
The chairman of the local traders’ association Everest Kayondo the hardest –hit are those who deal in perishable since Uganda is the food basket for South Sudan.
He says unless the conflict is ended soon, Uganda is bound to lose upto 2.3 million dollars in exports every day.
