UPDF exposes plot to discredit it in DR Congo

The UPDF establishment has issued an alert warning members of the public of a sinister move by an armed group to sabotage the joint military action against ADF rebels in Congo.
The spokesperson of UPDF Brig. Flavia Byekwaso and her DRC counterpart Gen Maj Leon Richard Kasonga in a joint statement issued said the vicious mission plotted aims not only at sparking and promoting hostility towards the UPDF and the FADRC among the local population but also create generalized panic among the population.
They add that by wearing the UPDF uniform and insignia, the members of this group plan to camouflage themselves to be able to go on an atrocious rampage to wreck un-scalable havoc including massacres, in order to badly injure the image of the UPDF.
Brig Byekwaso and her counterpart however reassure the public that FADRC and UPDF will not be distracted nor diverted from their mission to definitively neutralize the enemy.
They affirm that in the conduct of operations to restore peace, security and state authority will continue respecting human rights, international law and humanitarian aid and rules of engagement.
