Prof Augustine IFE Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics Victoria University has called upon Ugandans to position themselves incase they want to benefit from from the oil and gas deal.
“Position yourselves better now since Oil and Gas Deal is Signed for Jobs and contracts,” he told Ugandans.
According to Prof Ife, the industry is very technical and it requires a lot of skills and capacity for one to participate in.
”My advise would be for Ugandans to look out for opportunities to develop themselves,” he said.
Prof Ife says that Uganda Petroleum Regulatory Authority has done a lot to see that the industry has the laws and regulations. However, he says that they should ensure that these laws and regulations are implemented so that they don’t just end on paper.
