The army is investigating an ambush by armed med that left two Ugandans critically injured in Nimule.
UPDF spokesperson Lt Col Paddy Ankunda says they are concerned and are assessing the security situation.
The victims both Ugandan drivers are in critical condition after armed men ambushed 5 five vehicles at Mori Adru village about 60 kilometers from Nimule town in South Sudan.
The vehicles were returning to Uganda after delivering food items to the United Nations World Food Programme Offices in the South Sudan capital Juba.
One of the drivers identified as Ronald Tamale was shot in the right thigh and has been rushed to Nimule Hospital while Isaac Kazungu was also badly injured but managed to drive through the ambush.
Aswa Regional Police Spokesperson Jimmy Patrick Okema says security has been tightened at the border points and asked local residents to be alert.
He has asked all those using the route to be security conscious.
