All citizens have been called upon to report covid-19 symptoms early to qualified medical personnel.

The appeal is made by the Chairman of Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council Prof Joel Okullo Odom.

This comes at a time the country is experiencing a surge in Covid-19 infections, now standing at 70,176 with 626 deaths and 49,327 recoveries.

Prof Okullo notes that early reporting of the symptoms will ensure that people get the appropriate advice and timely management.

He also appeals to people who have been mishandled by any medical workers to assist the efforts of the Council and the Ministry of Health to curb such alleged malpractices, by coming forward to report their complaints to the Registrar Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council.
