Uganda Airlines is set to launch its first international flight today.
The Airlines acting CEO Jennifer Bamuturaki says the 258 passenger Airbus neo will make its maiden route to Dubai today.
Speaking at the ongoing Dubai expo 2020, Bamuturaki says the flight is a step in the right direction for trade between the two countries.
She says the crane that flies to Dubai today is a three class with Business, Premium economy and Economy class with capacity to carry 37,000 tonnes of cargo.
She meanwhile reveals that 100 people have so far paid to fly with the crane as it takes on the Dubai challenge today.
Bamuturaki believes that the Airline that is taking baby steps will in 10 years reach a point where it can manage its own costs.
This route presents cheaper Dubai flights for Ugandans but also puts Uganda Airlines in direct competition with other Airlines including; FlyDubai, Emirates, and Ethiopian Airways.
