Uganda’s efforts to combat terrorism in Somalia have been recognized.
The Commander of the U.S. Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa, Maj. Gen. Terry Ferrell says the UPDF’s strides against the Alshabab extremists has gone a long way in securing the East African region.
Gen. Terry says the United States is working together with East African partner states to share information on how to improve security against terror threats.
Gen. Farrell is in Uganda to monitor some of the security cooperation programs under the Uganda-U.S military partnership
