The Ministry of tourism in partnership with Uganda Tourism Board and other stakeholders have come up with yet another product aimed at promoting the country’s tourism potential.
This new product is the Mountain Rwenzori climbing challenge with the visit by American Super model Marlina Moreno as one of the highlights.
Addressing journalists in Kampala the deputy CEO of the Uganda Tourism Board John Ssempebwa said mountain climbing has earned many countries a lot of money yet in Uganda it has remained unexploited.
He says some of the challenges have been the high cost and distance to get to the peek, which factors he says have now been addressed with a promotion taking place on the 17th January 2015 as he explains.
Between 400-500 Ugandans are expected to participate in this challenge with the tourism minister Maria Mutagamba as chief walker.
