Uganda denies reports of M7 toppling Rwanda’s Kagame

David Kugonza | November 21, 2017

By Ritah Kemigisa;

The ministry of Foreign Affairs has dismissed with contempt media reports that the Ugandan government plans to overthrow that of Rwanda.

According to the Permanent Secretary Ambassador Patrick Mugoya, bilateral ties between Uganda and Rwanda are solid and the latter remains a strategic partner to Uganda in both the integration process and for promotion of regional peace and security.

Mugoya says in case of a misunderstanding there are agreed avenues, procedures and mechanisms through which both countries can address such issues in which case the media cannot be used.

He is now calling upon the general public to ignore any alleged list of grievances against Uganda by Rwanda because there has been no concern raised through the agreed official channels by either State or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
