Uganda is still democratically and politically strong, according to the Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs Moses Byaruhanga.
Byaruhanga says chances of having a situation similar to that of Burkina Faso are so slim.
He has told KFM that Uganda has mechanisms that allow freedom of expression and so such a situation cannot arise.
President Blaise Compaoré, resigned yesterday after the military seized control of Parliament.
Earlier, protesters reportedly set fire to government buildings after President Compaoré attempted to amend the constitution.
Meanwhile, the UN Secretary General is urging the people of Burkina Faso to use dialogue to solve the current political crisis.
Now Stephane Dujarric the spokesperson for the Secretary-General says a UN special representative for West Africa has already been sent to Burkina Faso.
Media reports indicate that military chief General Honoré Traoré has taken over as head of state.
The Inter-Parliamentary Union has also said parliament has to be protected as it is the most legitimate forum for resolving political differences.
