Government has been asked to compel foreign construction companies that are awarded contracts to sub-contract local firms to enable them acquire experience and the exposure they need.
The Deputy Chairperson National Planning Authority, Dr. Abel Rwendeire says sub-contracting the local companies will help the country build the capacity of the local companies.
He adds that this will also help break the monopoly of foreign construction companies which repatriate all their profits.
