Uganda Development Bank Chief Executive officer Patricia Ojangole has been released on bail.
Ojangole appeared before the Anti-Corruption Court Chief Magistrate Sarah Langa who granted her a cash bail of Sh.2 million.
Her two sureties were each ordered to sign a court bond of Sh.100 million not cash.
Ojangole faces charges of conflict of interest after she allegedly promoted herself to the position of Chief Executive Officer the bank.
Prosecution led by Sydney Asubo from alleges that Ojangole being employed as Chief Internal Auditor and later as Acting Chief Executive Officer of the bank, in the course of her official duties recruited herself for the top most position which had already been advertised on October 8th 2012.
Ojangole has now been committed to the Anti-Corruption Division of High Court for trial.
