Two Makerere university lecturers have been arrested by Police for allegedly altering students’ marks.

The university Deputy vice chancellor finance and administration Prof Barnabus Nawangwe recently wrote to the Inspector general of police to investigate the lecturers who smuggled names of unqualified students in the booklet for the 67th graduation.

The suspects identified as Christopher Ntwata and Mike Baronogo were arrested by plain clothed police personnel on Monday evening.

Speaking to KFM, Prof Nawangwe said he has not yet received official communication from police about the arrests but he confirmed writing to IGP over the issue.

Meanwhile, the head of security Makerere University, Jackson Muchuguzi declined to comment when we contacted him.
