Reporter | May 26, 2014

Traffic police are devising means of reducing road accidents within the city.

Traffic Police Senior Commissioner Dr. Steven Kasiima has ordered all motorists to drive at 30-35km/h near schools, hospitals and markets.

He has also urged all motorists heading out of the city not to exceed 60-70km/h while on the highways.

Dr. Kasiima notes that traffic officers have registered several cases of motorists exceeding 70 Km/h while driving within busy city areas.

Kampala has lately witnessed a rise in the number of road accidents due to over speeding and drink driving among other reasons.
