PM Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda

This is one of the proposals presented before the legal and parliamentary affairs committee by one of the presidential aspirants Prof Venansius Baryamureeba.

Prof Baryamureeba told members of the committee that article 108A of the constitution should be repealed to ensure that the office of the vice president is strengthened with duties done by the prime minister taken up by the vice president.

He argues that currently the Vice President has no powers conferred on them by the constitution only waiting for assignments from the president.

He also proposed reinstatement of the presidential term limits as a matter of urgency among other proposals
