The Nakawa Chief Magistrate has threatened to release on bail two suspects of the July 11th bomb blasts, if the state fails to wind up its investigations.

The two include Suleman Nyamandondo, a Tanzanian national and one Mohammed Ali.

The two were scheduled to be committed to the High Court for trial today but the state prosecutor in charge of the case was reportedly out of town on official duty.

The Nakawa Chief Magistrate Charles Sserubuga has adjourned the case until 8th August but warned that the suspects will be released on bail on the said date, if the prosecution is not ready to commit them to the High Court.

Seleman Hijar Nyamandondo and Mohammed Ali face 76 counts of murder and 10 for attempted murder over the bomb blasts that rocked Kyadondo Rugby Club and Ethiopian Village Restaurant in Kabalagala.

Nyamandondo is said to be the operations director of Kananga Tour Company based in Arusha, which is alleged to have transported the bombs that were used in the attack.

The two are jointly charged with 18 others already committed, over the bomb blasts.
