The democratic alliance is still hopeful a joint presidential candidate can be found.
This comes after the first attempt to get one by the summit failed when members disagreed.
However the head of strategy in the alliance Asuman Basalirwa says the two concerned people are still committed to negotiations and discussions are still on within and outside Uganda.
Last month a section of members of the summit declared Mbabazi as the alliance’s flag bearer.
The two contenders have already booked 3rd November for their nominations.
