Tax Clearance Certificates for political contenders are illegal

Uganda Revenue Authority is breaching the law in asking for tax clearance certificates from political contenders.
A Tax Clearance Certificate according to URA is an evidence of accountability to show Voters that politicians are tax complaint before seeking votes.
A section of politicians intending to run in the 2016 general elections believes this is not necessary.
Justice Forum President Asuman Basalirwa says the authority is acting outside the law.
