Supreme Mufti Sheik Zubairi Kayongo has died at the Aga Khan Hospital in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.
He died at the age of 81. He was suffering from a combination of Hypertension and Diabetes.

Meanwhile, the official program for the funeral of Supreme Mufti Sheikh Zubair Kayongo released by the Kibuli-based faction indicates that Kayongo will be laid to rest on Friday at Rwamata in Kiboga district.
