Parliament is today set to begin debate on the state of the nation address.
Two weeks ago the head of state issued his state of the nation address noting that the country’s economy had remained resilient despite numerous constraints.
The deputy speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanya has now asked all Mps to get set for the debate.
He also told the Mps that the Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi has issued the legislative program for the year for this session of parliament.
In that regard, the Deputy speaker of parliament Oulanya is calling for commitment from members of parliament to cover the workload.
During the state of the nation address, speaker of parliament Rebecca Kadaga challenged government to quickly present the pending bills including the electoral reforms so as to avoid stampeding parliament.
