David Kugonza | December 9, 2016

The State Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development Peace Mutuzo has condemned the civil societies for only concentrating on gender violence against women and ignoring men.

Speaking during the activities of the 16 Days of activism to end violence against women in Kampala, Mutuzo explained currently, Gender based violence against men has increased due to a number of women getting empowered and having money.

She notes that women have ignored their roles of attending to their husbands and children pretending to be busy and disrespecting their husbands as well.

She explains that however with the trend, civil society have continued to fight for a girl child leaving behind boys something which is not right warning that if it is not addressed, the situation will worsen.
