Uncertainty remains over a candidate to be fronted by the ruling NRM party for the city mayoral by election.
This is after Pastor Peter Ssematimba, who was reported to be the NRM flag bearer in the race denied knowledge of any such development.
He has described as mere speculation; reports that he had been endorsed by the party for the mayoral race.
Early this week Kampala NRM chairman Salim Uhuru revealed that the leadership of the five divisions had agreed to field Ssematimba.
However Ssematimba says the final decision has to be taken by the party through primaries to be held on Friday and Saturday this week.
