The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga has urged MPs from the Muslim countries to address issues of terrorism and extremism in their respective states.

Kadaga, while addressing the 10th session of the Parliamentary Union of Islamic Countries in Turkey, notes that children and women have become the most vulnerable victims of such acts in the countries hit by conflict.

She condemned the acts by militant groups like the Boko Haram and called on countries engulfed by conflict to address the plight of the young who have been deprived of their education and girls turned into sex slaves.

Kadaga further expressed support for an anti terror charter proposed by the United Arab Emirates delegation to condemn all acts of terrorism and intellectual extremism across the globe.

The Speaker of the Afghanistan parliament appealed to OIC States to help end the conflict in the country which has denied the people access to mineral resources that could help the country exploit its economic potentials.
