The Speaker Rebecca Kadaga has hailed the Judiciary for what she called a landmark ruling on the 4 expelled NRM Members of Parliament(MPs).
This follows a Supreme Court ruling on the 30th of October which upheld the decision of the speaker that anyone seeking to create a vacant seat in parliament needed to go to the High Court and not the Constitutional Court.
Opening a special sitting this afternoon, Kadaga said the ruling would help further strengthen the independence of parliament and separation of powers.
She also call for an apology from those who attacked parliament following her ruling that defended the presence the expelled MPs.
