Speaker Kadaga breaks silence on poison scare

The Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga has spoken out for the first time in regard to a reported poison scare.

Reports indicate that a letter bomb was mailed to her and exploded when one of her aides, Herman Kabogoza opened it.

In a brief and cagey statement to the media, Kadaga confirmed the incident but says a probe is ongoing to establish the matter.

Government agencies are reportedly probing the matter however police spokesperson, Judith Nabakooba says they are not aware of disovery of poison in the Speaker’s office.
