The proprietor of Cayenne Bar, Restaurant and Lounge in Bukoto Nakawa division, in Kampala has been charged in court for emitting noise beyond permissible levels.
Mario Brunetti an American national and husband to musician, Sanyu Cinderella appeared before City hall court grade one magistrate Juliet Hatanga today, who temporarily released him on a non cash court bond of Sh.2.5million after he pleaded not guilty to the offence.
His two sureties who included Cindy signed a bond of five million shillings not cash to secure his release.
Prosecution says Mario between October 19th last year to date at Cayenne Bar along Bukoto Ntinda played music, emitting noise above the maximum permissible levels for a bar and restaurant under the National Environment and Management Authority Act 2003.
The magistrate adjourned the case until March this year for hearing.
