The Uganda National Examinations Board has announced that the Uganda Certificate of Education examination results for the year 2011 will not be released today as had been expected.
The state minister for higher education Chrizsetom Muyingo had earlier said that the results would be out this morning, but the UNEB spokesperson Hamis Kaheru has told KFM that the results will be released next week.
Kaheru says the exams body is not yet ready to release the results and is still finalizing plans to do so.
About 273,032 candidates sat the examinations, 107,977 of whom were under the Universal Secondary Education program.
