Schools have been advised to adopt a policy of banning students plaiting their hair.

The Minister of State for Primary Education Rosemary Ssenide says this is a distraction to many during school time which must be avoided.

She says   this puts students to a risk of bad touches from men because they appear as adults.

She advises parents to save the money for school fees and buying other necessities for their children.
