Kenya’s Deputy President William Ruto has ruled out the possibility of the country holding fresh elections in 90 days as demanded by opposition leader Raila Odinga.
Ruto is quoted by Daily Nation as saying that while the ruling coalition is open for dialogue with Odinga, the question of fresh elections will not, in any way, feature were such talks happen.
He says Jubilee’s position is that Kenya is a constitutional democracy, every situation has been provided for under the Constitution, and Odinga’s call for fresh elections within 90 days is not constitutional.
