Rubaga North Member of Parliament Moses Kasibante has been rearrested, just minutes after he was granted bail by the Magistrate at Mwanga II Court in Mengo.
Kasibante who has been on remand at Luzira Prison had appeared before Chief Magistrate Suzan Abinyo over charges relating to jumping bail and was released after he presented sureties including Busiro MP Medard Sseggona and Sam Baluddewo a councillor for Lungujja Parish.
He was released on a cash bail of sh. 3m and his sureties were asked to pay a non cash bail of Sh 50m each.
However, according to Mukono Municipality MP Betty Nambooze Kasibante is now appearing before the same magistrate over fresh charges relating to taking part in an illegal assembly.
