Rotarians are soliciting over 3.6 Million US dollars which is approximately Shs13.8 billion to construct two cancer radiotherapy bankers at the Nsambya cancer treatment centre.

Mr. Michael Tyiyitegeka, the vice-chairperson for the Cancer Run 2023  says, out of the Shs13.8 billion they have so far secured, only Shs4.3 billion is remaining to have the bankers be constructed at the cancer treatment center.

For the last 12 years, Rotarians have registered success in the construction of a cancer treatment centre at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya.

They made the revelation while receiving Shs130 million from Unilever as they were launching the 12th edition of the Rotary Cancer Run to rise Shs13.8 billion for installing bankers at the cancer treatment centre.
