Uganda’s Ronald Musgala has doubled the Pearl’s chances of getting a medal at the Olympics games in Rio after he finished fourth overall in the men’s 1500m to qualify for the semifinals
Musagala put in a shift of his life as he crossed the finish line in 3:38.45 just behind Czech Republic’s Jakub Holusa, Kenya’s Ronald Kwemwoi, and Morocco’s Abdalaati Iguider in heat 3.
Musagala did not run better than his personal best 3:35.02, which gives Ugandans hope he could perform better to storm the finals.
Musagala is the only Ugandan that met the quota for the Men’s 1500m race during his qualification for the Rio Olympics games. Musagala has been training hard for the games in Belgium alongside Winnie Nanyondo.
Ronald has joined Jacob Araptany – who qualified for the men’s 3000m steeplechase finals on Monday as the Ugandans who currently await participation in the next phases of their Olympics categories in pursuit of Gold.
