Queen Elizabeth II to be buried today

Juliet Nalwooga | September 19, 2022

King Charles III approved Monday, September 19 as the day for the burial of Queen Elizabeth II after a 10-day mourning-mourning.

Queen Elizabeth’s state funeral, the first in Britain since the death of her first Prime Minister Winston Churchill in 1965, will take place at Westminster Abbey in London.

Yesterday, US President, Joe Biden arrived in London ahead of the funeral among over 500 heads of state and foreign dignitaries gathering from all over the world.

Meanwhile, controversy surrounds some of the guests invited like Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

Queen Elizabeth II died aged 96 on September 8 after seven decades on the throne.
