The Public has been warned on buying food from supermarkets and other food stores.
Deputy spokesperson Kampala capital city authority Robert Kalumba says a survey they have conducted shows that many of the stores do not have qualified staff to handle food and also lack proper storage facilities.
He appeals to the public to take the initiative to report any places that do not meet the required standard
So far 15 food stores have been shut down this year alone for not meeting the required standards.
