The woes of the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister are far from over.
Pius Bigirimana has been for the grilled for the second day by members of the parliamentary committee on public accounts.
This time over failure to account for 2bn shillings that was advanced to staff.
The MPs heard that a total of 34bn shillings was advanced to members of staff for various reasons but 2bn was never accounted for.
The Committee chaired by Paul Mwiru has put Bigirimana to task to produce accountability for the said funds but he said he could neither remember the names nor amounts taken by the different people.
He has asked for more time to be able to look for the vouchers and a full list that clearly indicates the names and specific amounts taken by each individual.
The parliamentary committee on public accounts is currently investigating the alleged misuse of public funds in the Office of the Prime Minister.
