Former Makerere University vice chancellor Prof Venancus Baryamureeba has officially declared his intentions to contest for presidency.
Addressing a press conference this morning, Baryamureeba said he was to contest independently without any party attachment.
He says he stands for good service delivery with the education and health sector high on his agenda
Baryamureeba says the country needs good leadership and not a soldier.
Asked why he was coming up, Baryamureeba said several Ugandans across the political divide had approached him about standing and two parties had endorsed him.
