President Yoweri Museveni has been sued over the NRM delegates’ conference.
A member of the National Resistance Movement has petitioned the High Court in Kampala seeking to block the forth coming delegates conference slated for December 15th.
Retired Capt. Daudi Ruhinda Maguru says the Delegates conference is in breach of a consent judgement entered on October 25th 2010 between him and NRM top officials before the then Principal Judge James Ogoola.
Maguru says it was agreed that a five member committee be put in place to settle the issue of the NRM presidential flag bearer and that the party be tasked to put in place an independent and competent Electoral Commission.
Maguru contends that despite several reminders, the NRM has never implemented the terms of this consent judgement.
Justice Lydia Mugambe has set the 3rd of December, for hearing of the case.
