President Yoweri Museveni has responded to former Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi following his declaration yesterday that he will contest for the presidency in next year’s election as the NRM party flag bearer, describing Mbabazi’s bid as a bad conduct and premature .

In a recorded statement circulated to the media last night, President Museveni also hit back at Mbabazi saying that he served the very system whose weaknesses and problems he now talks of solving.

Museveni said neither the party nor the electoral commission has announced the dates of elections adding that he does not think it is proper for Mbabazi to waste citizens’ time with that premature electioneering.

He further Responded to Mbabazi’s eight point programme he presented as his promise to Ugandans, should he be elected, saying Mbabazi was given a chance to serve as Prime Minister and he did not effect those programmes.
