President Yoweri Museveni has arrived in Wandegeya where he is expected to commission the newly constructed Wandegeya Market.
KCCA Deputy Publicist, Robert Kalumba, says the new market has modern facilities to accommodate more than 1,200 vendors.
He says the Sh.22bn markets has cold rooms, parking areas, lockups, parking lots, bars, restaurants, clinics, and a day care for traders with babies.
The market was constructed by a Chinese company, Complant Engineering Services with funding from African Development Bank.
This development however comes with a cost to the vendors who have been operating outside the market.
They claim they have nowhere to relocate their business after they were asked to vacate immediately.
