Poor branding continues to affect the market for locally manufactured products.

Trade minister Amelia Kyambadde is concerned that local manufactures do not put efforts in branding their products, which has led to more imports flooding the local market.

Kyambadde says Uganda imports goods worth more than $6.8 billion  compared to only $3.5 billion  earned in exports.

She urges the Uganda Manufactures Association to find ways of bridging the gap.
