The police are not taking cyber-crime via Facebook lightly.
The force is working with Ministry Internal Affairs to form a working group that will intervene to dealing with such cases.
This followed a report from FIDA Uganda indicating that over seven girls have been raped by men they meet on Facebook.
According to the Moses Binoga, the coordinator child trafficking and sexual abuse task force, the working group will be composed of police, internal affairs, National information technology Authority and Uganda communication Authority among others.
He explained that these are set to move to different schools, meeting parents, teachers and guardians, in abid to sensitize them on how to manage social media.
