The Uganda law society has tasked the police and its security agencies to come out clearly and give the people of Uganda the facts behind former IGP Gen kale Kayihura’s arrest to stop the speculations his arrest.
Speaking to KFM, the society’s president Simon Peter Kinobe says things are currently being done in secrecy and thus it cannot guarantee justice to prevail among the public.
He meanwhile proposes a public commission of inquiry to be instituted to give chance to the people who are coming up with all sorts of allegations against the general.
He adds that police should also guide the individuals so that they can collaboratively work with to adduce them with the needed information where need be.
Kinobe meanwhile reveals the society has written to the IGP, the chief of defense forces and the internal affairs minister to know the state of investigations into Kayihura’s arrest and on the 48 hour rule in general.
