Police in Kampala have kicked off investigations into a fire that broke out at Cafe Bravo Restaurant, Uganda House, along Kampala Road

Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson says the Fire Prevention and Rescue Services responded to a fire outbreak at Uganda House on Kampala Road suspected to have ignited at about 5am on Friday.

“Our dedicated team from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Services promptly arrived at the scene and successfully contained the fire before it could spread further throughout the building,” he noted.

He says although no injuries have been registered, there has been significant damage to the property.

“Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or fatalities resulting from the incident,” Owoyesigyire revealed.

He adds that investigations into the cause of the fire outbreak are currently underway, to establish cause.
