3 police officers attached to Kiira road police station have been remanded to Luzira Prison, over alleged theft of a money safe from Nakumatt Supermarket.
Seargent Paul Odoch, Police Constable Augustine Okech and Detective Constable Emmanuel Onyam have been charged with 3counts of theft, conspiracy to commit a felony and destroying evidence.
They are jointly charged with, a sale advisor with Mr. Price outlet, Ivan Ekoo.
The 4 are alleged to have stolen a trolley worth 3.4million shillings, a money safe, passport and Kenyan currency cash all totaling to 10.4million shillings.
The police officers are also alleged to have destroyed the safe, with intetions of destroying evidence crucial to the case.
They denied the charges before Buganda road court chief magistrate Eleanor Khainza, who remanded them to Luzira prison until the 19th of this month.
