The police is heavily deployed at the home of former FDC leader Dr Kiiza Besigye in Kasangati.
This is ahead of the planned opposition rally scheduled for this afternoon at Katwe.
FDC women’s league leader Ingrid Turinawe says the officers arrived this morning deploying at the road to the opposition leader’s home.
The situation is the same at the home of the Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago in Wakaliga.
Lukwgago however maintains that the rally will still go on as planned.
The police yesterday branded the meeting illegal saying the request to hold it was sent in late.
Today’s controversial meeting is to be held at Katwe, while another is slated for Sunday at Wankulukuku to reportedly consult Kampala residents on the forth coming mayoral by election.
